Sizing - due to the oversized nature of this coat, I would say the S/M fits a more weight petite person up to a size 18-20.  The L/XL is longer, with longer sleeves therefore looks great on taller people and has more room in so would go up to a size 24.  I am a size 14, 5ft 10 tall the L/XL looks great on me.  Both sizes look great on a variety of body frames.  For a more masculine based physique I would suggest you go on the height.  Up to 5ft 8 go for S/M and taller got for M/L
